Yes that is the way to say it correctly and so let's start off the new year correctly. I hope to have better health this year. Hope all my problems will subside and that Donna and I can have another great

year of marriage. The roads were all clear by yesterday only one day after the snow. The snow is either blowing or melting off the roofs that face south. Aaron left this morning for Florida after going to breakfast with his friends the Halbrooks. They live a few miles from us here in N.C.

We have enjoyed the snow, Aaron enjoyed it and even the kitties enjoyed it (for a minute or two.) We got 5-6 inches of snow overnight. So much that the roads are still covered. The issue here is that it rains first so the streets can get icy. So services were cancelled for today to protect the brethren from any auto mishaps. The snow will be all gone by Tuesday they say so Aaron will be going home then. Even the after Christmas sales were cancelled at the malls.

Christmas Surprise

Our youngest son, Aaron, surprised us tonight at about 11:30PM by walking in the house. (Gotta change the code). We were not expecting him until the 24th evening. He worked half a day then got in his Honda Civic and got here in about 9 1/2 hours. We are all going to Christmas Dinner at our friends the Shoemakers, from church, for Prime Rib about 5 PM and then Sunday Aaron will be leading singing at the Walnut Street church of Christ in Cary, N.C.

The weather people are saying it might snow on the 25th but every time they have said we would get snow it has passed over us. We shall see if we have a "white Christmas." At least our car is All Wheel Drive so driving on wet roads is not an issue. The city has already "brined" the roads so the snow won't stick if it does snow.

The economy is bad?

Boy the economy is terrible. Spent the day at the mall in Raleigh today. I had to take my Mac in for help from the Genius Joey Brown. He fixed it but while doing so we shopped in the mall. It was packed. And I do mean PACKED. We went to a store named Belk which is like Nordstrom only with better sales and selection. It was crazy. People spending hundreds of dollars buying things for themselves as well as gifts. I got an Overcoat I needed for the local weather which is colder than normal this year. Hear that Al Gore? The locals say it is normally 20 degrees higher than this winter. Donna was lucky to find her favorite jeans and on sale so she got a couple of pairs. Tried to get her to get some "Berry" = Purple cords but she didn't go for it. We hope all of you have a great holiday and I'll close with my saying for the year. If you have been a part of any religious group you probably have, but this weekend I heard an old preacher talk about Love in his sermon and he made a couple of comments that bring that phrase to heart.
"Why should man love his fellow man, if there is NO God?" then he makes it even more poignant than that by saying this; "Why would a man love a woman and put her first in his life if there is NO God?" and this made it so much sense to me I thought I should meditate on it and consider what he had said.

It is true! Why would anyone show love for their wife or fiancee unless God had shown us what love was by sending His Son to give us salvation. Do you think that atheist really love people? I have read many who admitted that without God they are able to do all of the sexual and deviant things they want to do because they feel there is no punishment because it isn't a sin without God. Without God we don't have to treat other well and the golden rule becomes "The one with the gold makes the rules" instead of the way it is in the Bible. If you don't think God will punish you there is no reason to do what is right. Everyone knows that a "fetus" is a child and not just a blog of tissue. But still they kill the children in abortion.

Think about it yourself, and ask yourself. If there is no love without God, how do I respond to God and what He wants me to do? Ask yourself and if you want to discuss it let me know.
